Pickens County Department of Social Services has the responsibility for investigating all reports of abuse or neglect of children in the county and providing treatment services to families in which abuse or neglect is found to be occurring. The Staff works closely with law enforcement, the courts, and other agencies, both public and private, to ensure children are safe.
